Time has not stopped, but we have not progressed! We are now squatting at Scott and Suzie's rental in Benson, and for the moment are enjoying the modern day comforts that now are quite meaningful, instant hot water (who cares about the dishwasher), toilets that flush, regular soap not hand sanitizer, a waching machine......aah the living. But none the less it is not ours nor is it permanent, thus treading water. Eventually the plans will get through the county and we will start the build, eventually. When asked by a friend how things were going I said , "good we are treading water, not moving backward, not moving forward, not sinking, just treading". She said, "good that means your building muscle." Love that thought. I want toned arms not body builder arms, just toned. So hopefully we can start building soon, or I will be awesome at arm wrestling."The less we want the more we have. The simpler we make our lives, the more abundant they become." Treading Water

I keep telling myself: "This too shall pass". We will get that house built someday. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the view ;)
Hang in there! You are an amazing mom and wife to have the patience for all of this. Hopefully you'll end up with lovely arms--just not too bulky! And, Amen to flush toilets...
Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass... it's learning to dance in the rain!
Also....
Sometimes God calms the storms and sometimes He lets the storms rage and calms His child.
And your husband is right.... This too shall pass!
Just like swallowing broken glass...
If you ever get past this, then who will we all have to think of when we suffer things and go--"Well, at least I'm not Lesley."
:-)
I agree with everyone, though Linda has a great point. If we didn't have you and Suzie as inspiration, what would we do when we suffer? We love you guys and are so amazed by the amount of patience you all have. Your craft coordinator would have lost her patience months ago. :)
To answer your question; Spencer is headed to Bulgaria. Pretty cool, huh? I couldn't have even told you there was a mission in Bulgaria! He should be leaving the MTC the first week of April--right around conference time. If you want more info about his mission call and area, I have some older posts that may be interesting. Plus, there's a link on there to the mission home page. Sorry to go on and on, but's it's pretty exciting! Good to hear from you. Take care!
Lesley,
We're thinking of you.
John
