Watermelon is back!!

Watermelon is back! I havent been able to eat watermelon in YEARS. During the height of my stomach problems in my 20's and 30's I couldnt eat it without my stomach killing. but since I used to be able to eat it as a kid, I thought might as well try again. Lots of things have changed. Maybe the stomach pH has finaly changed in my body. Wolah no stomach problems!! All these years I have continued to buy watermelons because they are so affordable. Its amazing the literal taste of summer is back.

Norman is King!

We went to Norman's play Alice in Wonderland where he was the King of Hearts. He was hilarious! He is apart of a summer drama club. He has been to so many of Parkin and Adrian's plays it was fun to support him.

Liv is back!

Olivia is back home! She is living at hone for the next 6 months. We are so happy that she has a remote rotation while she is doing her business rotation with Siemens. Benjamin flew out to pick her up at Sacramento. They drove back via Yosemite and stopped at the new Buc-ees just outside of Phoenix. Like always they had an epic roadtrip. within a day, Liv had her room completely squared away and set up. Then she decided she wanted to construct a quilt while she still was on vacation from work. She made this quilt in one day. This sums Livvey up to a T. Once she decides to do something, she puts her whole heart and soul in it and doesn't stop until it's finished. We are thrilled to have her with us although we know she will be traveling a lot! Liv loves our nightly time with the kitties.

Girls Camp!

Adrian was such an awesome head YCL. She lead with Love, hummor and insight. I wasnt supposed to be up at camp but I'm so glad I got to see her first hand. She really brought her A game and did her very best to serve others. It showed. Several leaders told me how great she was doing. I got a worried text from the Stake Young Women's President asking me on Monday if I could come up anytime to help out. They had some last minute leaders drop out. Camp started on Wednesday and I came up at lunch on Thursday. Adrians two cousins were also there. Ivy doesnt live in our Stake anyomre but always cones to camp and she was also a YCL. She is a hoot! She put a lotbof effort into her year flag and creating bonds with her girls. Brighlynne their 27 year old cousin was up there as our ward leader. She did such a great job filling in for others all week. Im so glad she wanted to take a cousin picture to document! Scott and Suzie were also up there as camp cooks. They crushed it!! Homemade pizza, fries, rolls, rice krispies treats. So yummy! On the last day of camp Adrian named each campers name, close to 50 girls! I was ubber impressed. It was a bummer that my parents are no longer serving their mission their. They were sorely missed by so many! Dads challenge wall was still a camp favorite! I think Ive gone to camp 17 times as a leader. I love camp Zion.

The Claridge boys are the ultimate fans. These boys have been raised young to sit in a stadium. They wear the gear, eat the goodies, know the rules and cheer their hearts out! The arena was popping and they were vibing!

Wolfgang

When Benjamin is out of town Wolfgang doesnt know who to protect. But he waits patiently by the door for him to return. Wolf looks so ominous but he is a teddy bear unless he is at the wash meeting a new dog he always thinks it is a threat. Wolf is also a life guard. He will pace the bridge and get right up to the water and make sure everyone is in the pool willingly. Recently he has started whipering like he is in pain. Tge vet thinks its his neck. We are wsiting on bloodwork up to see of the valley fever is flairing up. These rescued dogs are not free!!

Women’s Conference

My Aunt JoAn hosted my mom and me at Womens conference. She is an incredibly service minded individual. She is on several service boards. She was in charge of getting nine people to help direct conference goers to the Marriot Center and to check that they had their badges. We worked for 4 hours and got to go to the conference for free. JoAn also booked hotel rooms at the Marriot, so generous!! Aunt Jeanette also joined the fun. It was a beautiful weekend at a beautiful campus. Utah is so gorgeous. Aunt Jill has been really ill so we went to visit her. I pray it improves. My mom was in heaven being with her sisters,
