Charlotte or bust!!

we had a fabulous trip to North Carolina to visit Bella and Sam. They have created a lovely life there. They live in a highrise in uptown Charlotte. the first night there we took a segway tour of uptown. it was so fun!! the tour guides were real knowlegable too. The city was so clean. I was so excited to go to Bellas work The Whitewater Center. we were there for the St Patricks day celebration when they dyed the river green. The color was unreal!! At the center we did rock climbing and a ropes course and ziplinig!! And i didnt take a single picture. We also toured Honeywel, Sams work. it is a bougie place! State of the art facilities and free snacks!! it made the boys who are majoring in buisness feel better about their choice! We all went down to Charleston and stayed in a stinky house and soent the day at the beach, we also toured the city. it was voted the prettiest city in America. It truly waa very charming. It waa so great to have all the kids together. Olivia flew in from California and the boys took time off from school. We ate so much food!! It was a perfect week!!

Bear Down with only a hamburger!

The UofA hosted a university wide lunch for all full rime employees. They do this during soring break when tge arudents are gone and tge campus lawn is availble. it was all dun and games until i was waiting in line for the free lunxh. i saw several men get a hamburger and a hotdog. i follwed suit because im no light weight. then a worker came up to me and told me to only taje one...i tikd her i had already touched tge bunds and she said tgen dont put meet in one. They shoukd have made a sign! awkward. I aat and ate lunch with my collegues and we had fun making fun of the expierence. I got to meet up with Claudia my famouse collegue and paraprofessional from Leman. she also has two biys at tge UofA and switcged ober a semester after me. it was so great to see her!! Our boys graduated last year and are still great friends in collefe. We took a picture to send to them!

I have the craziest dreams usually EVERY. NIGHT. It is exhausting. They are never violent or scary but convoluted. But twice now I have woken up to hymns in my mind. When that happens it is so joyous!! The first time it happened I didn't even know the title I had to search to find it. I was so happy when I found it. The second song woke me up with immense joy just like the first time. This song was recently sung by the youth in the Stake. ANd the morning it happened I was subbing in seminary so I played it there. So lovely. Roofer to the rescue! We had a wicked storm here a couple of weeks ago that brought some damage to our roof. Benjamin was all set to go and had the thougth that he should get a harness for it. I was glad because I had a vision of an episode from Little House on the Prarie where a Pa fell off his roof and died....get the harness!! Success no mortal danager and no leaky roof!

Benjamin’s last year in the 40’s!

Benjamin and I did his traditional birthday hike the day before. We went up to Mount Lemmon and did a 5 mile hike. We found water and great views. On his actual birthday we had the boys and Grandma babs over and my parents for pizza subs. Then the Smiths, Landsdown-Howe, Dan and Jared and Franklin came over for dessert. I love to celebrate this fun loving, adventure seeking and faithful man. He has four more states to visit to reach his 50 states by 50. Let's go!!

Papa turns 77

Dad turned 77! What a year, what a guy! Everyone came into town to celebrate. He had all of his children present. We ate at Olive Garden and then went to the movies. We then went to mom and dads place for desserts made by Lindsey. It's so fun living so close to family and I feel extremely blessed to have my dad as my father. He works hard, is honest and faithful...we appreciate him so much. Love you dad!!
