Adrian has a Galentines party but two boys came so it was more like a Palentines party. Each person brought a charcuterie board. Adrian made a cake. The party was from 1-5....it was an event with almost all the girls from middle school. To quote Adrian, exclusion is for losers. I'm impressed she invited everyone. The rest of us kind of hid, Olivia too since she sleeps here on the weekends. Parkin periodically joined the fray, he was the cool older brother.
Benjamin turned 47!! The kids bought him all sorts of virta inspired things, cook books and foods. Basically it is keto. I made him a sugar free carrot cake. Parkin said it tasted like potpourri, it smelled good but tasted horribly 😅 Dad went hiking with Danny to seven falls and of course had to jump in! Brrr 🥶 we had parents over for cake and ice cream. We love this adventurer of ours 💕 Always up for family fun and new experiences!
If my 45 year old face could have white hair and be 100 ...I would look amazing!! We celebrated our 100th day at school and the tea hers and students celebrated by dressing up to look 100. What a privilege to live that long especially in goodish health!
Adrian got a "baby think it over doll" from school. It's a mechanical doll that acts like a real baby. It is very realistic!! The baby cries and Adrian uses a wrist scanner bracelet and put it to the sensor and picks it up, same with diaper changes, they have sensors on them, same with milk bottles. Then the scanner can see how long it took for Adrian to respond and she gets a grade based off that reading. How long it took for her to figure out what the baby needed. She had the baby for 48 hours, it nearly broke her. She had the baby at class, at mutual and even at the Holocaust museum. The baby cried everywhere but mutual.
Parkin picked up Adrian from school one day during her babysitting time. Ryan took a picture and it looks like they are a teenage couple 🤣
Benjamin and I are starting this crazy health journey raytheon's offering. They give you free glucose test monitors, blood panel work up and a free scale and you follow this basically reduced carbohydrate diet. It's normally $300 a month The program's free so dad's all in!
Benjamin has been doing it for a month (now that's it's February) and he is now down over 20lbs! He says he no longer has sugar cravings. I don't think that will ever go away for me. When I feel stress sugar nums that.
Apparently I can either do mission emails to Holman or a weekly blog post. I can't seem to do both. Currently I have sent Elder Holman a weekly email almost since he left and now my blogs have suffered 🥴 not that big of a deal because I am the number one reader to this blog basically my journal but emails can sort of be that way too I go back and look to see what I wrote Elder Howe. So sorry future self if you wanted to see what life was like in 2024 in January there was only one post and it recapped 2023 😜
In January we celebrated Papa's 75th birthday!! Of course my mom created an excellent party. We went to Little Anthony's diner and then to the gas light theater. But all home and parties have to have more than one day of celebration so the following day there was breakfast at Lindsay's house and lunch after church at my parents. Everyone in the family submitted a joke to Aunt Hillary and she compiled a joke book for Papa he loved it!
The gaslight theaters play was about pirates so Nana of course did all things pirates several of the cousins were them like babushkas instead of a pirate scarf they're so silly.
