Adrian goes to the UofA

Lindsey arranged the coolest field trip. She had Norman with her and picked up Adrian and then me at work. We went to the Student Union on campus and had lunch with Ryan and Olivia then Ryan Smith made Adrian's dream come true by giving Adrian a tour of the Architect department at the University of Arizona. She was in heaven. He gave her a bag full of UofA swag.  He took her from department to department it was very inspiring.

 

Lindsay Curtis shower

 Bella, Olivia and I through a shower for their good friend Lindsay Curtis. We love her parents, Helen and Judd so it was an exciting event. We are getting new coaches so our old ones were taken away. It made for an easy transition for additional tables and chairs. With the help of Lindsay's aunt's and Grandma we hosted a luncheon for 35. I borrowed Lindsey ( my twins)  fine china, my mom's table runners and we bought table decorations. It was a beautiful day.

General Conference and kids

General conference brought the family together. I looked over and all four kids were huddled together on just one section of  the coach, Sam however spread out on the floor 😅

I went out with the Elders a couple of days before conference and they invited the investigator to try to tune into a couple of the talks.  I testified that if she came with a question and an earnest desire to learn something that the Spirit would speak to her personally. She said she already had her question. She had felt a lot of resentment towards God about her Dad dieing of ALS. She was sincere and wanted those feelings to go away. On Saturday morning the second talk was given by Sister Cordova. She shared how her dad was diagnosed with ALS and hf passed away.....of all the illnesses and family members who could have been affected with that particular disease.... I nearly cried thinking this talk is for you!! I invited her to church for Easter but she wasn't able to attend. So I haven't been able to hear her follow-up but it was a testimony to me that God knows each of us individually. 

 

Adrian becomes a waitress!

 Adrian's school had a fundraising galla. The kids made and served the food. They were awesome! And the food was delicious!! Both sets of grandparents came as well as Lindsey, Owen and Norman.  Adrian looked so professional and did a great job managing our table. She worked three shifts and was beat at the end of the night.

Little Chickies

 We got these sweet little chicks for my birthday. I invited The Smith and Nana and Papa over to see them. And tragedy struck...... we've been keeping them in Benjamin's office so we headed out over there....the dogs followed too. Appa came in and grabbed one  and killed it. It was devastating. The only saving grace was little Norman hadn't arrived yet. Tears were shed. I love my animals but honestly the price of their existence is high. The dogs shed terribly, the cat sprays....which has me pulling out my hair. I digress. Benjamin got the coop up this weekend and the little ladies are happy with their new home.

Bella turns 22!!

 Sweet Bella turned 22!! We had the whole Pershing crew over sans Adam. Bella was awesome and chose sub sandwiches for her birthday dinner, nice and easy! We love the Pershing family, the boys are hilarious and our two families feel like old friends 

We love this ray of sunshine. She's quick a smile and an encouraging word. She's the epitome of a big sister and the ultimate 2st born. She graduates in May and we couldn't be more proud!! Love you so incredibly much, Bella Boo 💕

Biggest prank of all time..

Holman pulled the biggest prank. We knew he was reassigned to the Tacoma mission but then he said it was a confidential reassignment.  He texted us a screenshot of this email.  We bought it hook line and sinker... It was so crazy getting getting his Visa. We had to submit 3 separate monthly bank statements to the Thai government. So I was already on edge perfectly primed for a con by our best con man 😃

Holman didn't want us to fast for him to get his Visa he wanted us to fast that he would go where the Lord needed him.

He did end up getting his Visa two days before his MTC district was scheduled to leave the country!

Not sure why this prankster mom was so thrown by this prank apparently I can dish it but I don't take it very well 😅
