Adrian crushes the Yuma Invitational!

Adrian went to the Yuma Swim Invitational. It was the same week as General Confernce. Benjamin was at the Confernce in Utah and I was home watching on TV and she was on the traveling bus. I got a text from her 30 minutes into the confernce and she said "that talk was for me." I was so impressed that as she was traveling with the team she was tuning into conference. What a gal! She did awesome! She swam 4 races and got three individual medals!!

Grandma Babs goes to conference!

Benjamin and Barbara were able to go to General Confernce! It was Barbara's first time going and Benjamin was so excited to be her escort. They stayed and Lars Andeson's house with Suzie's mom, they were very generous hosts. So helpful to have friends in Utah. Lars was the friend who helped Benjamin get his job at Family Search. They were able to go early on Sunday morning and be there for Music and the Spoken Word. Barbara has listened to that program every Sunday for decades. It was a trip of a life time. Barbara deserves all the joy this life can offer and I am so grateful they got tickets and made the trip happen.

Seminary Sisters

Sandra Nance and I are team seminary teachers to about 35 students who primarily attend Sabino High School. We meet at 6:45 am to 7:45 am, Monday through Thursday. It is early! Adrian is one of my students and is very helpful to her dear angel mother. She fills in for missing devotionals, answers questions and genuinly helps when I need it. It is so nice to have someone to count on! What a miracle to get teenagers to miss sleep and go to school an hour early to start they day by learning more about our Savior. It is nothing short of a miracle. I have much to learn about the gospel, how to teach effectively, how to handle students who cause distractions, how to help students attend regularly...so much to learn. One thing I do know is my love for the these courageous teenagers and my knowledge that my Savior, their Savior loves them. I hope that I continue to improve. Sandra and I have accidently twinned on many occasions, so I started taking pictures!

Roaming kittens

Our barn cats love to roam the property often going to th echurch next door. I have gone over to talk to the home school group explaining that they have a home and they go in doors at night, but because they did not have tags they were captured by a passer byer.. Luckily the lady posted that she found two kittens and we found the post and were able to connect. They had a sleepover and we got them back home. They now wear tags so hopefuly their adventures will not involve cat napping. One picture shows a cat hiding in the tree and the other shows a large cottonwood that fell in the wash. So sad to see a beautiful tree fall and so sad to lose cats.
